1These are AI agents
When you call our demo line, or when a customer contacts a business we work with, they may be speaking with an AI agent rather than a person. The agent uses AI models — currently from xAI or Anthropic — grounded in that business's approved knowledge.
Our agents do not claim to be human. They are configured to identify themselves as an AI when asked, and to disclose it proactively where policy or law requires. We will not configure an agent to deny what it is.
2What an agent can and cannot do
- It answers from knowledge the business approved, and escalates when unsure or out of scope.
- It can book, reschedule, take messages, look up status, and complete other agreed actions.
- It does not give medical, legal, or financial advice.
- It does not invent prices, availability, or policies. If it does not know, it says so and hands off.
- It can be wrong. A person is always reachable, and an agent will connect you to one on request.
3Call recording and transcription
Voice agents typically transcribe calls so the conversation can be acted on and reviewed, and calls may be recorded where the business has enabled it.
Recording consent law varies by state. Missouri is a one-party consent state; many others require all-party consent, and calls that cross state lines can trigger the stricter rule. We configure whatever disclosure a client asks for and can advise on common practice — but the client is responsible for determining and meeting the consent requirements that apply to their calls, as stated in our Terms. We are not your legal counsel on this point.
4Messaging, follow-up, and opt-out
Sales Agents send follow-up by text and email. These run only on templates the client approves, honor quiet hours, and stop immediately on a reply or an opt-out. An opt-out applies everywhere and is logged.
Clients are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact their leads and customers, and for complying with TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and similar rules. We build the controls; the relationship with the recipient is theirs.
5What happens to a conversation
Conversation content is processed to operate the agent, complete the requested action, and report outcomes to the business. It is not used to train AI models. It is not shared with other clients. The business that engaged us owns it, and can export or delete it. See our Data Processing page for the full picture.
6If you are a customer of one of our clients
You can ask to speak with a person at any time and the agent will hand you off. If you would rather not interact with an AI at all, tell the agent and it will route you to the business directly.
For access to or deletion of your information, contact that business — they control the data and we act on their instructions. You can also reach us at support@block9.app and we will help them respond.
7Our demo line
The demo agent on our website is an AI, provided so you can hear how one behaves before engaging us. Do not share sensitive personal, medical, or financial information with it. Demo calls may be recorded and reviewed to improve the service.
